Have you ever felt that in life it never seems like you have enough time? We live in a generation we’re our lives are in constant motion and there's never a time where it ever slows down. It’s never discussed on how hard Americans work year round and how much time we really sacrifice. Other countries look at the U.S as over consumers who just constantly spend and indulge throughout their lives. I feel as if this is a falsehood when it comes to the description of Americans.
The Average person in America works twice as long throughout their lives as opposed to someone from France for example, or any other country for that matter. Americans aren’t lazy people, but rather sacrificers. We sacrifice time with family, friends, and even are personal time to work more. Time is money, and in order for Americans to make more money we must invest more time. We get paid hourly, monthly, and even yearly all on a timely basis.I mean Think about it we run on a more Polychronic time than any other nation; meaning that we accomplish several things at once and have a more fluid approach at scheduling time. http://www.basicknowledge101.com/pdf/km/Chronemics.pdf We work everyday, we support a family everyday, and some of us even attend school on top of all of that.
It’s crazy to think about how you are given 24 hours a day and we balance the time in our lives like that. We work to make money, we go to school in hopes of getting a job one day that enables us to make even more money. Our time is invested into money. Time communicates to people. If you have too much time on your hands it means you aren’t making money, and if you have barely any time it means you are working hard to make money. We communicate to others what are lives entail and the type of person we are based off the time we use in our daily lives.
